Plan for Fall Open Enrollment Season Now with August Pre-Enrollment Communications

Next month is August and soon it will be open enrollment season for most companies. With summer whizzing by, communications to the employees about the approaching fall open enrollment season may be an afterthought. But employees want more education about their available benefits and how it can personally help them.

In a recent LegalShield survey, 52% of employees said they do not feel they receive enough communication regarding their benefits. The importance of Will preparation is a great educational topic to help employers explain the value LegalShield provides to their employee population, especially during Make a Will Month!

Only 41% of employees self-identified as having a Will. The majority don’t know where to begin (39%) and plan to create a Will or trust when they’re older (35%). Factors like cost (14%) or needing a lawyer (22%) play a strong role as well. Despite the affiliation Wills have with mortality, respondents went as far as to say that they make them feel peaceful (40%), confident (37%), and empowered (26%) when asked to identify all the emotions Wills illicit.

One of the many great benefits of LegalShield is that Will preparation is included in the plan and can easily be prepared using the LegalShield mobile app. Wills are prepared and mailed to the participant within five business days of receiving all information.

To help employers educate employees on the importance of preparing their Will, LegalShield offers virtual Will workshops hosted by a LegalShield provider lawyer and can also provide supporting educational content.

Ensure Employees’ Privacy and Identity are Protected this Summer

Summer is a popular time for employees to take some much-needed rest and relaxation. While on vacation, the last thing on anyone’s mind should be identity theft. However, even on vacation we still like to be connected, and using public wi-fi can put you at risk. Inappropriate vacation photos that may find their way onto social media could also damage one’s reputation and possibly also the reputation of their employer. IDShield provides the identity, online privacy and reputation management protection needed for today’s digital world.

IDShield provides the following online privacy and device protection services

  • Online Footprint and Reputation Management
  • VPN Proxy One
  • Password Manager
  • Mobile Security
  • Anti-Malware Protection
  • Online Parental Controls

IDShield’s VPN Proxy One from Trend MicroTM utilizes bank-grade data encryption to prevent incoming and outgoing internet traffic from being tracked, hacked, or censored. It turns a public hotspot into a secure Wi-Fi. IDShield also provides access to anti-malware protection, mobile security, and a password manager.

IDShield’s reputation management service allows the participant to scan their social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for existing content that could be damaging to their online reputation. Participants will be notified of old accounts, high-risk posts, and images, and will have the ability to review and the choice to remove flagged content from their personal accounts. IDShield’s Family Plan provides this service to both the participant and the participant’s spouse.

In the event of identity theft, IDShield provides full-service identity restoration. For more information on IDShield, please contact Cheryl.
